Mental - VR
Mental VR
This game is a new thing for Gamalocus - up and until now we have primarily been working on massively multi- player online strategy games, but VR is something else. The game is not an FPS ported to VR, rather we want to leverage the full potential VR to give you an amazing shooter-puzzle experience.

The screenshot shown here is from an early game-mechanic testing demo, the look and feel is going to be very different...

Tower Defence - VR
During our early works on Mental VR it became clear that we wanted to make something more engaging than a two gun shooter. Maybe the lack of a strategic element was what drove us to consider a deeper game experience. And what would be more intriguing than having to defend your base while strategically placing towers to give you extra firing power.

The splash screen shown here features an early game demo - we hope to have something closer to the final look soon

Call of the Kings - The Mirror Black
Call of the Kings - The Mirror Black
Call of the Kings was the sequel to Call of the Warlords. It was an ambitious project for a small studio like Gamalocus. The game was developed in Java on both server and client - using image and music resources from Call of the Warlords. The development was paused in 2008, but now - 10 years later - we are trying to gather the momentum to pick up the pieces and finish it!
On the games own website you can read much more about the game, and sign up to be notified when something happens.

Call of the Warlords
Call of the Warlords was the first title released by Gamalocus. It was based on a board game originally written by one of Gamalocus' founders - Lars Peter Wiberg Nielsen. The server was written in PHP, the installer in C++ with SDL, and the game was played directly in the web browser. The game was turn based, but all players took simultaneous turns ensuring that all players were engaged.

Financially the game was not a great success. During the years it was online it brought in around €33,500 which was only a quarter of the invested money to develop the game. We have been asked a number of times if we could bring the old game back to life - but since it depends so heavily on security flaws in Internet Explorer 6.0 it just doesn't make sense. Call of the Kings is very similar in terms of game play, so sign up for news on it's website.
